Building Expertise across Industries
We started the interview by asking, “What inspired you to pursue multiple professional certifications across aviation, law, business, and media?”
Ayman Tayeb replied, “I believe continuous learning is the key to long-term success. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across various industries, and I quickly realized that knowledge is the most valuable asset. My certifications in aviation and logistics enhance my technical expertise, while my degrees in law, business administration, and media broaden my perspective on leadership and communication. Every field I’ve studied complements my professional journey—understanding legal frameworks helps with compliance and risk management, business education strengthens my strategic planning skills, and media expertise allows me to effectively communicate and manage content. These certifications are not just qualifications; they are tools that enable me to innovate, lead, and adapt in an ever-evolving world. My goal is to remain versatile, always prepared for new challenges, and contribute meaningfully in every role I take on.”
A Leadership Approach
The Arab Today: With your extensive background in aviation, logistics, and translation, how have these diverse experiences shaped your leadership style?
Ayman Tayeb replied, “My career has been a blend of technical precision, operational efficiency, and cross-cultural communication. In aviation, every decision must be calculated, with no room for error. Logistics requires strategic planning, ensuring smooth operations under tight deadlines. Meanwhile, translation, especially in military and technical settings, demands accuracy and adaptability. These experiences have shaped me into a leader who values discipline, efficiency, and clear communication. I lead by example, emphasizing teamwork and problem-solving while maintaining a structured approach. My ability to bridge language gaps has also helped me manage diverse teams and collaborate across industries. Whether handling high-pressure airport operations, overseeing property logistics, or supervising translations, I prioritize organization and quality. Leadership, to me, is about guiding teams with vision, fostering growth, and ensuring that every task aligns with broader strategic goals.”
Lessons from 33 Years in Aviation
The Arab Today: With over 33 years of experience in aviation, what are the most valuable lessons you’ve learned?
Ayman Tayeb replied, “Aviation has taught me the importance of discipline, precision, and adaptability. In this field, even the smallest mistake can have serious consequences, so attention to detail is non-negotiable. Over the years, I’ve also realized that continuous learning is essential. Technology, regulations, and industry trends are always evolving, and staying updated is the only way to remain relevant. Another key lesson is the value of strong leadership. Whether working in aviation operations or running a business, a leader must set an example, be emotionally intelligent, and stay humble. People respect and follow leaders who inspire them through actions, not just words. These principles have guided me throughout my career and continue to shape my approach in both aviation and business. The ability to adapt and lead with integrity is what truly sets successful professionals apart in any industry.”
The Birth of Tayeb Maintenance
The Arab Today: What motivated you to transition from aviation to starting your own business, Tayeb Maintenance?
Ayman Tayeb replied, “After spending over three decades in aviation, I wanted to channel my expertise into something I could build and grow independently. My experience in flight operations and as a chief interpretation translator gave me a strong foundation in management, problem-solving, and customer relations. I saw a growing demand for reliable A/C and electrical repair services and decided to start Tayeb Maintenance. It was a natural transition because aviation and maintenance both require precision, efficiency, and technical knowledge. Running my own business also gives me the flexibility to innovate and implement new ideas, such as using digital platforms to enhance customer engagement. While starting a business comes with challenges, my years in aviation taught me the importance of structure and discipline, which helped me establish a strong foundation for Tayeb Maintenance. I believe that with hard work and continuous improvement, we can expand and reach new heights.”
Leveraging Technology
The Arab Today: How do you use technology to keep your business competitive?
Ayman Tayeb replied, “Technology plays a huge role in the success of any business today, and I make sure Tayeb Maintenance keeps up with digital advancements. I have established a strong online presence through Google Business and Amazon Business, allowing customers to find and connect with us easily. Additionally, I’m in the process of developing an application for our services, which will improve efficiency and customer experience. In today’s fast-paced world, businesses that fail to embrace technology risk falling behind. I constantly explore new tools and digital solutions to enhance operations and streamline communication. Whether it’s using digital marketing to reach a wider audience or integrating software to optimize service management, I believe technology is a powerful tool for growth. Staying updated with the latest tech trends and adapting accordingly is essential to remain competitive and meet the evolving needs of customers.”
The Art of Multitasking
The Arab Today: As a certified Media Content Manager and founder of Ertekaa News, how do you manage your roles in aviation, business, and media?
Ayman Tayeb replied, “Balancing multiple roles requires discipline, passion, and effective time management. Aviation has always been a major part of my life, but my interest in media and business has allowed me to diversify my skills. Founding Ertekaa News was a way for me to stay connected with industry trends and share valuable insights. At the same time, running Tayeb Maintenance requires strategic planning and teamwork. I ensure that I have a strong team in place to handle daily operations, allowing me to focus on growth and innovation. Managing multiple responsibilities also means prioritizing tasks and staying organized. I use my media expertise to promote my business and keep the public informed about aviation updates. Each role complements the other, and I believe that having diverse experiences not only broadens my perspective but also helps me bring fresh ideas and solutions to every aspect of my work.”
Guidance for Aspiring Professionals
Lastly we asked, “What advice would you give to beginners looking to start a career in aviation or maintenance?”
“For anyone looking to enter aviation or maintenance, my biggest advice is to never stop learning. Aviation requires continuous education, certifications, and hands-on experience, so staying updated is crucial. If you’re starting a business in maintenance, choose a strategic location where demand is high. Invest in a strong online presence—having a professional website, social media engagement, and even a dedicated app can make a huge difference in reaching customers. Patience is also key. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but with persistence and dedication, growth is inevitable. Surround yourself with knowledgeable mentors, seek training opportunities, and always strive for improvement. Most importantly, be passionate about your work. Whether in aviation or business, genuine passion and commitment will set you apart.
