Abu Dhabi Approves $1.3 Billion Housing Support Before Eid Al Adha

The Abu Dhabi government has approved a housing support package worth \$1.26 billion (AED 4.62 billion) to help 3,052 Emirati citizens. This support, given before Eid Al Adha, aims to improve their living conditions and well-being.

Housing Support in Abu Dhabi

A new housing support package has been approved by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, following the direction of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The package includes mortgage loans worth $1.2 billion (AED 4.4 billion) for 2,862 people. It also includes $57.7 million (AED 212 million) to cancel housing loan repayments for 190 citizens, including low-income retirees and families of deceased citizens.

This support comes after a recent extra community grant of $68,066 (AED 250,000) for people already receiving housing loans. It also includes reducing monthly payments by up to 50% and offering more services and support.

What Officials Said

Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, said the new package shows the leaders’ strong commitment to helping citizens by providing good homes and supporting family life.

Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director-General of the authority, said this second housing package of 2025 shows the leadership’s long-term plan to improve living standards and give citizens the homes they need.

Total Support So Far

With this latest package, the total housing support given to Abu Dhabi citizens in 2025 has reached $3.1 billion (AED 11.38 billion).
