Second Umrah and Ziyarah Forum in Madinah Ends
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, together with the Pilgrim Experience Program, successfully finished the second Umrah and Ziyarah Forum 2025. Many people from Saudi Arabia and other countries took part.
The event took place from April 14 to 16 at the King Salman International Convention Center in Madinah.
Over 4,000 Cooperation Agreements
During the forum, 4,251 cooperation agreements were signed. This is more than 25% higher than the number signed at the last forum, showing that more people and organizations are working together in the sector.
The three-day forum included panel discussions, workshops, and many useful activities. There were 100 speakers from both Saudi Arabia and other countries who talked about how to improve the Umrah experience. There were also 50 workshops, all held in a large exhibition space of 9,000 square meters.
The forum also showed new technology and solutions to improve the pilgrimage experience. These included smart transport, better hotel and flight services, and improved healthcare. Also, 20 field trips were arranged for visitors to explore historical and cultural sites in the Medinah area.
Visitor Numbers
More than 30,000 people visited the forum by the final day. These visitors included business leaders, government officials, experts, non-profit groups, and entrepreneurs.
Another key moment was the honoring of winners from the Sustainable Solutions Challenge, which had 150 teams from 20 countries. The forum also celebrated winners of the Historical Sites Hackathon, organized with Umm Al-Qura University, where over 100 creative projects were submitted.
The forum also gave awards to top companies in the “Innovative Track” for Umrah services. It presented the “Labaytum” Award for excellent service to pilgrims and the “Mubdi’un” Award for innovation.
