Turning Experience into Vision
We started the interview by asking,“What inspired you to establish ACDS Co., and how did your prior experience shape this decision?”
Waleed Jaber replied, “Starting ACDS was a dream that grew from years of experience working across different pharmaceutical and food supplement companies in Jordan. Throughout my journey, I noticed there was room for a more agile and dynamic drug storeone that could adapt quickly to market needs while maintaining high standards. I had the opportunity to be part of successful company launches and learned the ins and outs of the industryfrom regulatory processes to market behavior. This gave me the confidence to create something of my own. With a strong background in pharmacy and business management, I felt well-equipped to start ACDS and offer both partners and consumers a trustworthy, innovative approach to pharmaceutical distribution. I wanted to build more than just a business and I wanted to build a brand that stands for quality, commitment, and forward-thinking strategies in the Jordanian pharmaceutical sector.”
Advancing with Purpose
The Arab Today: ACDS aims to be a leader in pharmaceuticals and food supplements. What steps are you taking to achieve this goal?
Waleed Jaber replied, “To become a leader in the Jordanian pharmaceutical and food supplement market, we focus on building long-term relationships with reputable manufacturers and continuously enhancing the quality of our services. One of our top priorities is understanding the evolving needs of the market, which helps us stay ahead in offering the right products at the right time. We invest in our team by providing continuous training and development to keep them aligned with global standards. Operational efficiency and marketing innovation also play a big role—we make sure our distribution channels are reliable, and our promotional strategies resonate with healthcare professionals and consumers alike. At ACDS, leadership isn’t just about size. it’s about trust, consistency, and adding real value to the healthcare sector. Our goal is to be a go-to partner, not just in Jordan, but throughout the MENA region.”
Building Trust in a Competitive Market
The Arab Today: How do you approach negotiations and business management in such a competitive industry?
Waleed Jaber replied, “In the pharmaceutical world, negotiation isn’t just about price, it’s about building mutual trust and delivering long-term value. I’ve always approached negotiations with a mindset of creating win-win situations, where both sides walk away satisfied. My background in both pharmacy and business has taught me the importance of understanding your counterpart’s goals as well as your own. In terms of management, I focus on transparency, communication, and accountability. I believe in leading by example and empowering my team to take ownership of their roles. The industry is fast-paced and competitive, so staying organized and adaptable is key. I rely on strategic planning but remain flexible enough to pivot when needed. Good business management also means staying close to the market, knowing what’s changing, what’s working, and where we can improve. That mindset has helped us grow steadily and sustain strong relationships across the board.”
Tailored Strategies, Trusted Partnerships
The Arab Today: What makes ACDS a preferred partner for pharmaceutical and food supplement companies looking to enter the Jordanian and MENA markets?
Waleed Jaber replied, “What sets ACDS apart is our deep understanding of the Jordanian and regional pharmaceutical landscape. We don’t just distribute products and we work closely with our partners to create a tailored market entry strategy that aligns with local regulations, consumer behavior, and healthcare trends. Our team is experienced, agile, and well-connected within the industry, which allows us to navigate the regulatory environment efficiently and get products to market faster. Merging Science and Strategy
Lastly we asked,“As a pharmacist and entrepreneur, how do you balance the clinical and business aspects of your work?”
“Balancing the clinical and business sides of the pharmaceutical industry is definitely a challenge, but it’s also one of the most rewarding parts of my job. My pharmacy background keeps me grounded in the importance of quality, safety, and patient wellbeing. At the same time, my business training helps me think strategically and how to grow sustainably, how to manage a team, and how to position our company in a competitive market. I believe the key is never losing sight of the bigger purpose: serving people through better healthcare access. Every business decision we make at ACDS goes through that filter. For example, when we select products to distribute, we look at both their market potential and their real-world impact on patients. It’s about finding that balance where good science meets smart business, and making sure both sides are working together to achieve long-term success.” Waleed Jaber Concluded
