Rizwan Sajan, Founder & Chairman of Danube Group: Sky Is the Limit with Shahrukhz by Danube

For more than 30 years, UAE-based Danube Group has played an important role in shaping the country’s real estate and construction sector. The company has delivered many landmark projects, introduced new ideas, and often completed developments ahead of schedule. For its Founder and Chairman, Rizwan Sajan, this success is the result of hard work, big ambition, and smart risk-taking. All of these values come together in Danube’s latest project, Shahrukhz by Danube.

Expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2029, Shahrukhz by Danube is named after Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The tower is set to become one of the tallest commercial buildings on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. With a prime location, modern design, and world-class facilities, the project has attracted strong interest from global business leaders. In fact, all units were sold out on the very day of its launch.

According to Rizwan Sajan, the idea behind Shahrukhz by Danube is inspired by the similar life journeys of two individuals who started from nothing and built global success. “Shah Rukh Khan came to Mumbai 33 years ago with no money and went on to become a global icon,” says Sajan. “At the same time, I arrived in Dubai with just one briefcase and built Danube through hard work, honesty, and discipline.” Today, these two journeys come together in one iconic project that mixes Bollywood glamour with real estate excellence.

While the famous name helped create excitement, the project’s success is also based on strong market factors. Sajan explains that Dubai currently faces a shortage of premium commercial towers. “Shahrukhz by Danube is designed to meet this demand and fill an important gap in the market,” he says.

Design has played a key role in the project. The tower was designed by Danube Group’s Managing Director, Adel Sajan, after studying more than 100 famous commercial towers from around the world. Rizwan Sajan believes the final design reflects Dubai’s fast growth, forward vision, and modern lifestyle.

Investors have shown great confidence in the project, even though completion is more than three years away. However, Sajan openly admits the project involved some risk. “Entering the premium commercial market during a cautious period was a calculated risk,” he explains. “But real progress comes from taking bold and well-planned decisions.”

Today, Shahrukhz by Danube is becoming a reality on Dubai’s skyline. For Rizwan Sajan, the project represents more than business success. It is about creating something meaningful that inspires others. “This tower stands for the journeys of two people who believed in themselves, worked hard, and built lasting legacies,” he says. “It sends a message that with determination, discipline, and self-belief, the sky truly is the limit.”
