Adam Cook Interview
In an exclusive interview with The Arab Today, Adam Cook, CEO of EAE POWER, unveils a groundbreaking vision that will redefine the future of electric vehicles. As the global EV market faces critical infrastructure challenges, Cook argues that fixed-battery systems are a failing model—and only battery swap technology can deliver the scalability, sustainability, and consumer convenience needed to make EVs superior to Internal Combustion and Hybrid vehicles.
EAE POWER’s modular Swap Stations promise to eliminate long charging times, reduce battery costs, and create a circular economy for energy storage, all while future-proofing the EV industry for the next century. “Adapt or become irrelevant,” warns Cook, as he invites automotive leaders to embrace a new era of ‘Plug, Swap & Go’ mobility.
Transforming EV Mobility
We started the interview by asking, “Adam, EAE POWER is making waves with its EV Battery Swap Station technology. How do you believe this will revolutionize the electric vehicle industry?
Adam Cook replied, “Thank you. What we are introducing with EAE POWER’s Swap Station technology is not just an evolution—it’s a complete redefinition of the EV ownership experience. The current fixed-battery EV model is inherently flawed. Long charging times, battery degradation, infrastructure limitations—these are barriers that have slowed EV adoption globally.
Our Swap Stations eliminate these barriers. Imagine an EV driver pulling into a station and having their depleted battery swapped with a fully charged one in under 3 minutes. No waiting, no range anxiety, no lifetime battery ownership headaches. This transforms EVs from being “alternative” vehicles to becoming better than ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) or Hybrid vehicles in terms of convenience, cost-efficiency, and long-term sustainability.”
Traditional Charging for the Future of EV Mobility
The Arab Today: What makes Swap Stations a more viable long-term solution compared to fixed-battery EV charging infrastructures?
Adam Cook replied, “Fixed-battery EV infrastructure is a ticking time bomb. As EV adoption scales up, the grid demands, charging congestion, and battery replacement costs will escalate unsustainably. Fixed batteries are static assets locked inside vehicles, limiting their lifecycle flexibility.
Our Swap System decentralizes and modularizes the battery ecosystem. Batteries become shared, optimized assets managed by EAE POWER, not by individual consumers. This means batteries are always maintained, upgraded, and recycled professionally, extending their lifecycle and reducing electronic waste. The consumer never worries about battery health—only about driving. It’s a circular economy model, not a linear one, and it’s designed for mass scalability without overburdening national grids.”
Scalable Opportunities for EV Growth
The Arab Today: Skeptics argue that building Swap Stations requires massive capital investment and standardization. How does EAE POWER address this challenge?
Adam Cook replied, “That’s a fair concern, and it’s where EAE POWER’s strategic advantage comes in. Our Swap Stations are modular, digital micro-facilities that can be deployed rapidly at a fraction of the cost of large-scale charging hubs. They require significantly less land, lower energy infrastructure upgrades, and operate on a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, generating recurring revenue.
Regarding standardization, EAE POWER has engineered a universal swap interface adaptable to most EV platforms, and we are in active collaboration with vehicle OEMs to create a swap-compatible future. We’re not asking the industry to change overnight; we’re building the bridge that allows existing EV ecosystems to evolve into swap-capable systems seamlessly.”
Evaluating the Future of EV Swap
The Arab Today: Do you believe Swap Stations could become the dominant EV energy model in the next decade?
Adam Cook replied, “Absolutely, and here’s why: EVs with fixed batteries will hit a saturation point where consumers and fleets demand faster, more flexible energy solutions. Swap Stations offer unmatched advantages for urban fleets, logistics companies, and everyday drivers alike.
In the UAE and GCC, where temperatures soar and battery performance deteriorates quickly, swap systems ensure batteries are always kept at optimal conditions in climate-controlled facilities. Globally, as energy grids struggle with peak loads, swap networks can balance energy demands by charging batteries off-peak and delivering charged units on demand.
In essence, Swap Stations future-proof EV infrastructure, making EVs more scalable, efficient, and sustainable than ICE or Hybrid models ever could be.”
Driving Green Innovation
The Arab Today: How does EAE POWER’s Swap technology support environmental sustainability beyond just reducing tailpipe emissions?
Adam Cook replied, “Great question. Sustainability is not just about removing emissions; it’s about creating a circular, zero-waste automotive economy. Fixed-battery EVs still contribute to e-waste and mining overconsumption because batteries are prematurely discarded or underutilized.
Our swap-managed batteries are monitored in real-time for performance and are rotated through a second-life lifecycle, including stationary energy storage once their automotive efficiency decreases. Moreover, our battery recycling initiatives ensure that materials are recovered and reused, closing the loop.
Additionally, Swap Stations themselves are built with green materials and powered through renewable energy micro-grids where possible. It’s a complete ecosystem designed to minimize environmental impact across the entire product lifecycle—not just during vehicle use.”
Driving Down Costs
The Arab Today: How will consumers benefit financially from the EAE POWER Swap Model compared to traditional EV ownership?
Adam Cook replied, “Consumers will benefit enormously. Firstly, they no longer have to purchase the battery outright, which can represent 30-40% of an EV’s price. Instead, they subscribe to a pay-per-swap or subscription model, significantly reducing the upfront cost of the vehicle.
Secondly, consumers avoid long-term depreciation and maintenance costs associated with battery degradation. Since the batteries are owned and managed by EAE POWER, drivers are guaranteed peak battery performance throughout their vehicle ownership.
For fleet operators, the financial benefits are exponential. Swapping ensures maximum vehicle uptime, reduced capital expenditure, and predictable operational costs. The model is designed to be economically superior to both fixed-battery EVs and ICE vehicles, ensuring a faster Return on Investment (ROI) for consumers and businesses alike.
Residual Value (RV’s) with Swap Battery EV’s outperform all other types of vehicles with 10-to-20-year RV, which has never been possible before.”
Driving Global EV Innovation
The Arab Today: Adam, what is your vision for EAE POWER in the next 5-10 years, and how do you see it impacting the global EV market?
Adam Cook replied, “Our vision is crystal clear: EAE POWER will become the backbone energy infrastructure for the next century’s EV transportation ecosystem, not only in the UAE and GCC but globally.
In the next 5 years, we will roll out Swap Stations across key urban and logistics corridors, supported by joint ventures with government authorities and private sector partners. In 10 years, Swap Stations will be as common as fuel stations, making EVs more accessible, reliable, and affordable to the masses.
We aim to create a global benchmark for how EV infrastructure should be developed: scalable, sustainable, and consumer-centric. The failing fixed-battery model will become obsolete, and EAE POWER will be at the forefront of this transformative shift, turning EVs into the superior choice over ICE and Hybrid vehicles—not just environmentally but economically and practically.”
Embracing the Swap Revolution
Lastly we asked, “Finally, what message do you have for automotive industry leaders who are hesitant to embrace the Swap revolution?”
“To the automotive leaders still clinging to fixed-battery models, I say this: Adapt or become irrelevant. The world is moving towards flexibility, sustainability, and smarter energy use. Consumers and businesses will demand better solutions—faster, cleaner, and more cost-effective.
Swap is not a theory; it’s an operational reality. Those who join this revolution now will lead the market. Those who resist will eventually have to play catch-up. EAE POWER is extending an open invitation to collaborate, innovate, and shape the future together.
The time for debate is over. The era of “Swap & Go” has begun.” Adam Cook concluded
