EFG Hermes Leads Extel Ranking, Highlights MENA Potential at London Conference
EFG Hermes has been ranked number one in Extel’s 2025 Corporate Access Conference (Buy-Side View) for Emerging EMEA. This shows its strong role in connecting global investors with companies in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
Extel Ranking
Extel runs an independent survey where institutional investors and analysts vote to rank brokers and banks. In this survey, EFG Hermes’ London conference was placed third in the “Conferences Corporate View” category. This makes it the only investment bank with two events in the top three across different categories.
Its flagship One-on-One Conference, the top investor event in the MENA region, will celebrate its 20th year in Dubai next year.
London Investor Conference
This recognition follows the bank’s 11th Annual London Investor Conference, held at Emirates Stadium under the theme “Investing Right in MENA.” The four-day event brought together 710 participants, including 285 investors from 146 global institutions and 131 listed companies across sectors such as finance, real estate, technology, energy, and consumer goods.
Conferences as Key Platforms
EFG Hermes’ conferences are now seen as key platforms for policymakers, business leaders, and portfolio managers. They focus on emerging topics such as renewable energy, fintech, real estate demand, and supply-chain changes.
The one-to-one meeting format helps investors and companies discuss both opportunities and risks in the region’s fast-changing economies.
Year-Round Access
Between events, EFG Hermes expands its corporate-access services by using its research, brokerage, and investment-banking divisions. This gives clients ongoing access to investment opportunities across MENA.
According to management, this approach helps direct foreign investment into projects that support economic diversification and sustainable development.
Background
EFG Hermes is the investment-banking arm of EFG Holding. The wider group also offers non-bank financial services such as leasing, factoring, fintech, insurance, and SME finance, as well as commercial banking through Egypt-based Bank NXT.
