Faraz Ahmed Interview
With over 20 years of experience in sales, banking, and financial services, this industry professional has built a strong career based on consistent performance, customer trust, and smart decision-making. After working successfully with leading banks, the journey expanded into entrepreneurship through the co-founding of Al Nooh Consulting. Today, the focus includes banking solutions, creating investment opportunities, and advising on business setup. The work is driven by a clear goal: to provide personalised financial solutions, maintain high service standards, and create long-term value for individuals, SMEs, and investors.
The Foundation of a Career in Sales and Financial Services
We started the interview by asking, “What inspired you to build a career in sales, banking, and financial services?”
Faraz Ahmed replied, “From the start of my career, I was naturally drawn to roles where relationship-building, problem-solving, and measurable impact played a central role. Sales and financial services allowed me to combine all these strengths. I genuinely enjoy understanding customer needs, designing the right financial solutions, and seeing real results in both revenue and client satisfaction. Over the years, this interest evolved into a deeper commitment to helping individuals and businesses make informed financial choices and achieve long-term stability.”
A Sales Philosophy Rooted in Listening and Trust
The Arab Today: You have consistently been recognised as a top performer in major banks. What sets your sales approach apart?
Faraz Ahmed replied, “My approach has always followed a simple principle: listen first, sell later.
I take time to understand each customer’s financial goals, challenges, and risk appetite before suggesting any product. I also believe in proactive follow-up clients remember the experience you create for them, not just the product you offer. This philosophy has helped me break sales records, drive strong CASA growth, and build long-term trust with HNI and SME clients.”
Key Trends Reshaping Modern Banking and Wealth Management
The Arab Today: Having worked across SME banking, liabilities, investments, and wealth management, what trends are shaping the financial services industry today?
Faraz Ahmed replied, “The most significant shift is the rising demand for personalised, digital-first financial solutions. Customers especially SMEs want quicker onboarding, transparent investment options, and advisory services backed by data. Wealth management is also becoming more goal-based rather than product-driven. Today, customers expect bankers to act as strategic advisors who understand their financial journey, not just as product sellers. This is the direction the industry is moving toward.”
The Shift from Corporate Banking to Entrepreneurship
The Arab Today: You co-founded Al Nooh Consulting. What encouraged you to transition into entrepreneurship?
Faraz Ahmed replied, “After 20 years in banking and consulting, I noticed that many entrepreneurs, SMEs, and investors faced major challenges due to lack of proper guidance especially when establishing companies, opening bank accounts, or navigating compliance and licensing in the UAE.
I co-founded Al Nooh Consulting to address this gap. The idea was to create a one-stop advisory solution offering financial services, company formation support, real estate investment guidance, and manpower solutions with complete transparency and professionalism.”
Achievements That Matter Beyond Awards
The Arab Today: What has been your most rewarding professional achievement so far?
Faraz Ahmed replied, “I’m grateful for the many recognitions I’ve received especially being named a Top Performer in personal loans, CASA, mortgages, and priority accounts. But what means the most to me is the trust clients have placed in me. Helping people grow their businesses, plan their investments, and navigate financial challenges has been the most meaningful and rewarding part of my journey.”
Delivering Consistent Excellence Through Ownership and Communication
The Arab Today: Customer satisfaction is clearly important to you. How do you ensure consistent service excellence?
Faraz Ahmed replied, “For me, service excellence begins with taking complete ownership. Whether it’s a complaint, a delay, or a complex request, I make sure I stay involved until the issue is fully resolved. Clear communication is also key clients should never feel ignored or uninformed. This approach earned me several customer service awards during my time at CBI Bank because clients appreciated that I delivered solutions within the promised TAT and always stood by my commitments.”
Guidance for the Next Generation of Finance Professionals
The Arab Today: What advice would you give to young professionals who want to succeed in sales or financial services?
Faraz Ahmed replied, “My biggest advice is to focus on building trust rather than chasing numbers. Learn the fundamentals of banking, investment, and compliance. Stay consistent with your follow-ups and maintain professionalism even in challenging situations. Most importantly, invest in your communication skills sales isn’t about convincing people, it’s about connecting with them. When you consistently add value, success will naturally follow.
