Rafael David’s MundiBusiness: Empowering SMEs with AI-Powered Business Intelligence

Rafael David Interview

In a world where data drives every decision, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) often find themselves left behind due to the complexity and high cost of business intelligence tools. MundiBusiness was created to bridge this gap—making advanced analytics accessible, intuitive, and affordable. In this conversation with Rafael David, the founder shares the inspiration behind MundiBusiness, the role of AI, challenges faced during its creation, and the vision for the future.

Inspiration behind MundiBusiness

We started the interview by asking, “What inspired you to create MundiBusiness, and how does it stand apart from existing business intelligence platforms?”

Rafael David replied, “The idea was born from a clear gap: small and medium-sized businesses were being left behind in the data revolution. Most BI platforms are either too expensive, too complex, or demand technical expertise that SMEs simply don’t have.
MundiBusiness eliminates those barriers. It’s affordable, intuitive, and powered by AI so users can ask natural questions and instantly get actionable insights. Our strength lies in marrying simplicity with power—making advanced analytics as easy as checking your email.”

The Role of AI in Empowering SMEs

The Arab Today: How does artificial intelligence specifically enhance the value proposition of MundiBusiness for SMEs?

Rafael David replied, “
AI is our silent partner that does the heavy lifting. Instead of forcing users to navigate complex dashboards or master SQL queries, AI interprets their questions in plain language, detects patterns in the data, and even suggests next steps.
For example, if sales dip in a region, MundiBusiness doesn’t just report the decline—it highlights potential causes, forecasts future trends, and recommends corrective actions. This turns data from a static report into a living decision-making tool.”

Overcoming Challenges

The Arab Today: What were the biggest challenges in taking MundiBusiness from concept to launch?

Rafael David replied, “Two main hurdles stood out: balancing simplicity with depth, and ensuring affordability without sacrificing performance.
We stripped away unnecessary complexity while keeping analytics robust, which meant countless iterations on interface design and AI models. On the business side, pricing was tricky. We wanted it within reach of small businesses but also sustainable for us. The solution was a modular subscription model, so clients only pay for what they truly use.”

Data as a Survival Tool for SMEs

The Arab Today: How do you see the role of data in shaping the future of small and medium-sized businesses?

Rafael David replied, “
Data is no longer a “nice to have”—it’s a survival tool. Gut instinct isn’t enough anymore; competitive decisions must be evidence-based.
For SMEs, data can reveal customer behaviors, expose inefficiencies, predict market shifts, and even spark innovation. Businesses that embrace data-driven strategies will adapt faster and grow more sustainably than those that don’t.
Our mission is to ensure that the data advantage isn’t reserved only for corporations with massive budgets.”

Real-World Impact of MundiBusiness

The Arab Today: Can you share an example of how MundiBusiness has transformed decision-making for a client

Rafael David replied, “One early client, a regional retail chain, used MundiBusiness to unify sales, inventory, and marketing data. Within weeks, they uncovered a seasonal buying pattern that had gone unnoticed for years.
They adjusted their stocking strategy ahead of the next cycle, which boosted turnover and cut unsold stock by 18%. That’s the type of impact we aim for: practical, measurable improvements that directly affect the bottom line.”

Building a Culture of Innovation

The Arab Today: How do you cultivate a culture of innovation within your multidisciplinary team?

Rafael David replied, “Innovation isn’t random—it’s built on trust, diversity, and freedom to experiment.
We maintain a flat communication structure where ideas can come from anywhere, not just leadership. Designers collaborate with AI engineers, and business analysts brainstorm with UX teams.
We also run regular innovation sprints, where the only rule is to challenge the status quo. Some of our most valued features—like AI-driven insight suggestions—were born in those sessions.”

The Future of MundiBusiness

Lastly we asked, “Where do you see MundiBusiness in the next 5 years?”

“In five years, I see MundiBusiness as the go-to intelligence partner for SMEs worldwide, with localized versions adapted to different regions and industries.
We’ll embed predictive analytics even deeper, so businesses can simulate scenarios and prepare for multiple futures.
Ultimately, we want data-driven decision-making to feel as natural as breathing for small businesses—and MundiBusiness will be the tool that makes it possible.” Rafael David concluded
